Disaster-Prone Areas with Established Natural Disaster Early Warning Networks
Cabinet resolution dated 18 July 2006 mandated the Ministry of Interior to establish a volunteer early warning network in the area. It designated local responsible persons, known as "Mr. Warning," to coordinate and issue warnings to the public in hazardous areas. A monitoring, warning, and evacuation system to safe areas was established in Phetchaburi Province.
