Hotel: A commercial establishment established by entrepreneurs to provide travelers with accommodation, food, and other services related to accommodation and travel, or a building with multiple rooms arranged in a single building or multiple buildings, providing various services for the convenience of guests. Ministerial Regulation Specifying Types and Criteria for Hotel Business Operations (No. 2) B.E. 2023, Section 2, classifies hotels into 4 types as follows: (1) Type 1 Hotel: A hotel providing only room accommodation with no more than 50 rooms. (2) Type 2 Hotel: A hotel providing room accommodation with more than 50 rooms, or a hotel providing room accommodation and a restaurant or food service/preparation area. (3) Type 3 Hotel: A hotel providing room accommodation, a restaurant or food service/preparation area, a service establishment as defined by the Service Establishment Act, or a conference/seminar room. (4) Type 4 Hotel: A hotel providing room accommodation, a restaurant or food service/preparation area, a service establishment as defined by the Service Establishment Act, and a conference/seminar room.
