เนื้อที่ใช้ประโยชน์ทางการเกษตร หมายถึง เนื้อที่ใช้ประโยชน์ทั้งหมดของครัวเรือนเกษตร หรือเนื้อที่ที่ครัวเรือนคงในสิทธิ์ผลประโยชน์ในที่ดิน ทั้งนี้ไม่คำนึงถึงกรรมสิทธิ์ที่แท้จริงของที่ดินนั้น ๆ โดยพิจารณาจากเจตนาการนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ในด้านต่าง ๆ ตามลักษณะการใช้ประโยชน์ประจำของผืนที่ดินนั้น ๆ เป็นเกณฑ์
