List of temples

Data on temples in Phetchaburi Province, classified into two sects: Mahanikay and Dhammayut. Mahanikay is the name for the sect or order of Thai Theravada Buddhist monks of the Lankavamsa lineage, representing the majority of monks in Thailand and belonging to the Khandhaka branch. Dhammayut was established with the objective of reforming and restoring monastic discipline to be accurate and strict according to Buddhist scriptures, ensuring monks adhere strictly to the Vinaya Pitaka in all good conduct, study the Pali scriptures with clear understanding, and restore Buddhism where Thai monks have historically fallen short, achieving completeness in both the Vinaya Pitaka and Sutta Pitaka. This effort was led by Somdet Phra Vajirananavongs (Vajirananavaroli) to reform the Sangha and spread Buddhism comprehensively in Thailand.
