Number of volunteers for social development and human security
Social Development and Human Security Volunteers (SDHSV) are citizens who are already residing in the area and possess a volunteer spirit. They understand local social issues well and join as SDHSVs to assist target groups according to the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security's (MSDHS) mandate: children, youth, women, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and the homeless. Their duties include: 1. Identification and monitoring: Surveying target groups, screening for problems, and identifying target groups. 2. Initial assistance: Providing food, clothing, shelter, medicine, or counseling. 3. Referral: Connecting with relevant agencies for further assistance. SDHSVs serve voluntarily, driven by a desire to help those in distress without seeking any rewards.
