Persons with Disabilities Employed in Establishments Complying with Section 33 Law

Under the Disability Promotion and Quality of Life Development Act B.E. 2550, the objective is to promote and improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities. The Act includes provisions establishing key measures for promoting careers and protecting the employment of persons with disabilities, enabling them to utilize their abilities, earn income, and become self-reliant, thereby reducing the burden on families and society that must provide care. It also aims to encourage persons with disabilities to become a significant force in strengthening the economy of families and the country. Accordingly, three methods are established for persons with disabilities to engage in occupations: 1. Employing persons with disabilities under Section 33 of the Disability Promotion and Quality of Life Development Act B.E. 2550; 2. Contributing to the Disability Promotion and Quality of Life Development Fund under Section 34 of the Act; 3. Granting concessions for the sale of goods or services under Section 35 of the Act, as amended by the Disability Promotion and Quality of Life Development Act (No. 2) B.E. 2556.
