Sukhothai Province implemented the 'wet waste bins to reduce global warming' project plan for Fiscal Year 2025, approved by the Provincial Solid and Waste Management Committee, to serve as a systematic framework for waste management and greenhouse gas reduction in the area, aligned with government and Ministry of Interior policies. The province integrated operations at all levels (province, district, and local administrative organizations), established working groups and operational teams, set up monitoring and random inspection plans for the creation of wet waste bins, and promoted participation from community leaders, network partners, and local volunteers (Local Guardians of the Earth) for public relations, monitoring, and continuous reporting of results.
