OTOP Products

The One Tambon One Product (OTOP) project aims to enable community members to utilize local wisdom to develop and create products, generating income for themselves, their families, and their communities. The project has been implemented since 2003 (B.E. 2546) to the present, under the Cabinet Office Order regarding the National OTOP Steering Committee, announced on 7 September 2001 (B.E. 2544). This established the National OTOP Steering Committee (abbreviated as 'Kor Or Nor Tor Por') with the authority to set policies, strategies, and master plans for the 'One Tambon One Product' project, define standards and criteria for selecting and registering outstanding village products, and support effective implementation of the project's policies, strategies, and master plans. The project has successfully generated income for communities and local people across the country, leading to a continuous increase in OTOP producers/entrepreneurs and new products, thereby strengthening the grassroots economy. Government agencies have provided support in knowledge, technology, capital, and management, linking community products to domestic and international markets.
