Locations of border checkpoints and relaxation points

Border Checkpoints (Checkpoint) refer to passages opened between Thailand and neighboring countries sharing a border. - Permanent Border Checkpoint: Refers to entry-exit channels opened by the governments of both countries to allow citizens, tourists, and vehicles of both countries to travel for trade, tourism, and other purposes. Operations follow immigration and customs procedures according to the laws of both countries, considering the readiness of both countries. In Thailand, approval from the Cabinet and the Minister of Interior is required. - Border Trade Checkpoint: Refers to channels opened by the Thai government to assist neighboring countries in humanitarian aspects and promote relations among local populations. This involves easing trade in necessary consumer goods. Psychologically, border trade checkpoints are considered unilateral openings. The Subcommittee on Checkpoint Opening has delegated the Ministry of Interior to assess practical suitability. Provinces submit requests to open border trade checkpoints to the Ministry of Interior. Upon approval by the Minister of Interior, the province issues an announcement opening the checkpoint, specifying details regarding the checkpoint area, control measures for entry-exit of people from neighboring countries, and certain goods prohibited from trade at the checkpoint.
