Mangrove Forest Area
Trat Province has mangrove forests distributed across 6 districts: Mueang Trat, Laem Ngop, Khlong Yai, Khao Saming, Ko Chang, and Ko Kut. The area is rich and diverse in species, with 27 types of mangrove trees recorded. Notable mangrove areas include Ban Pretnoi, a community that began mangrove restoration in 2530 using sustainable conservation approaches. Another interesting site is Ban Tha Ranom, which received an award as a model community with the best mangrove resource management in the country in 2556.
