Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) Anti-Corruption Operation Results (from Fiscal Year BE 2550 – 2556)

Section 250 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand B.E. 2550 and the Organic Act on Anti-Corruption B.E. 2542, Amendment No. 2 (B.E. 2554), stipulate that the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has the power and duty to investigate facts concerning political office holders and state officials who are not political office holders in 5 cases as follows: 1. Investigation for the purpose of removing a person from office. 2. Investigation for the purpose of criminal proceedings against political office holders. 3. Investigation and determination that a political office holder or state official who is not a political office holder has an abnormal increase in wealth, to request that the property become state property. 4. Investigation and determination that a political office holder or state official who is not a political office holder, from the level of senior executives or civil servants at the director-general level or above, has committed corruption offenses against duties, offenses against the position and duties of public officials, offenses against the position and duties in the administration of justice, or related offenses. 5. Investigation and determination that a state official or civil servant at a lower level has jointly committed offenses with a state official at the level of senior executives or civil servants at the director-general level or above, or equivalent or higher, or with a political office holder, or has committed offenses in a manner that the NACC deems appropriate to investigate.
