Thai Climate Change Knowledge Repository from Peer-Reviewed Publications (DCCE)
This knowledge set compiles data, research results, and analyses on climate change and the environment of Thailand from research by the Department of Climate Change and Environment published in international academic journals, to support academic citation, policy formulation, and the development of innovative knowledge on adaptation, greenhouse gas reduction, and environmental impacts.

1Examining the Variability of Planetary Boundary Layer Height over Thailand:1 Correlations to ENSO and Aerosol Optical Depth23 Abstract4 Thailand has been facing air pollution e.g., PM2.5 issue and impacts from climate5 phenomena e.g., El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO). Both air pollution and climate interact6 with each other. Change of planetary boundary layer height (PBLH) can affect PM2.57 represented by aerosol optical depth (AOD), and does influence by ENSO related to the change8 of PBLH whether or not? This study investigates the relationship between PBLH, ENSO, and9 AOD using empirical orthogonal function (EOF) decomposing spatiotemporal data of PBLH10 into spatial patterns and corresponding time series. Correlation analysis was used to determine11 the relationship of PBL variability time series with ENSO and AOD variations, in terms of12 inter-annual variability. The analysis focuses on December–February (DJF) from 1991 to 202013 to identify dominant PBLH variability modes and their statistical relationships with ENSO and14 AOD. EOF analysis reveals three interesting principal components (DecPC2, JanPC3, and15 FebPC2) that account for 11.3%–23.5% of total PBLH variance an
