Number of Elderly Persons Receiving Elderly Allowance at the Local Level

To provide welfare to elderly persons aged 60 years and above who meet all qualifications according to the Ministry of Interior regulations on the guidelines for paying elderly person living allowances to local administrative organizations, B.E. 2552, and its amendments. Those registered to receive the allowance with local administrative organizations receive a monthly living allowance based on a tiered rate: elderly persons aged 60-69 receive 600 baht; aged 70-79 receive 700 baht; aged 80-89 receive 800 baht; and aged 90 and above receive 1,000 baht.
