Biosphere Reserve Area
The mangrove biosphere reserve in Ranong Province was declared in 2540 under the care of the Mangrove Forest Research Center 1 (Ranong), formerly the Mangrove Forest Research Center. It is the first mangrove forest in the world to be declared a biosphere reserve.
