It is calculated as a monetary value reflecting the cost or expenditure required for an individual to obtain basic food and essential non-food goods for survival. The Poverty Line consists of the Food Poverty Line and the Non-Food Poverty Line, measured in baht/person/month. The Food Poverty Line is based on the nutritional needs (calories and protein) of people of different sexes and ages, along with consumption patterns and cost of living variations by region and area, ensuring equal utility satisfaction.
