Children aged 6-14 receiving compulsory 9-year education
The Yala Community Development Office conducts annual Basic Needs (BN) data surveys to support quality-of-life development. Basic Needs data reflects the desired characteristics of Thai society according to minimum standard indicators, specifying what aspects of quality of life Thais should have and the minimum living standards required over a certain period. This enables citizens to assess their own, their families', and their villages/communities' current quality-of-life levels and identify issues to address, thereby encouraging public participation in self, family, and community development.
