Farmers may provide supplementary feed if natural food is insufficient, placing it in containers or scattering it 1-2 times a day. Chickens roost in trees or coops. This method has low production costs as it requires less investment in feed. The produce is used for household consumption, and surplus can be sold for income. 2. Semi-free-range or confined farming: A low-investment method suitable for both small and large quantities. It involves building a yard connected to the coop. Chickens are kept in the coop and released into the yard at certain times. Owners provide food and water continuously since chickens do not forage naturally. 3. Coop or cage farming: Suitable for those with limited land, building coops or cages specifically for chickens. A cage size of 3 x 2 meters can hold approximately 15-25 chickens. Area and numbers may vary. Construction materials may use bamboo due to availability and low cost. Roofing may use thatch or cogon grass, but for large-scale operations, galvanized iron or tiles may be used to reduce frequent repairs.
