Clean water for drinking and consumption refers to rainwater, tap water, and groundwater that have passed the standards of the Department of Disease Control, verified by the Sub-district Public Health Office as safe for drinking. If from natural sources, it must be boiled before use, or treated with chlorine tablets and then chlorinated to be considered clean water, or water that has passed through standard water filters, or bottled water (must have FDA mark). 5 liters per person per day, with 2 liters for drinking and 3 liters for other uses such as cooking, washing face, rinsing mouth, brushing teeth, etc. Used water refers to water used in households, such as bathing, laundry, cleaning, etc.
