Number of Elderly with Desirable/Undesirable Behaviors
"Evaluated by the elderly, meaning citizens aged 60 and above with an ADL score ≥ 12, both male and female. Desirable health behaviors mean actions or behaviors that positively affect an individual's health (physical, mental, and social). Elderly self-care health behaviors include: dietary consumption, physical exercise, stress management, environmental hygiene, and self-care during illness. 1. Moderate physical activity (walking/cycling/housework/farming/gardening/fieldwork/exercise) accumulating 150 minutes/week. 2. Eating vegetables and fruits equivalent to 5 handfuls daily on a regular basis (6-7 days/week). 3. Drinking plain water at least 8 glasses/day. 4. Not smoking cigarettes or smoking pipes. 5. Not consuming alcoholic beverages (e.g., liquor, beer, infused spirits). 6. Self-care when ill (self-care when not ill; continuous medication for chronic conditions). 7. Adequate sleep, at least 7–8 hours/day. 8. Dental/oral health care. Note: 1. Passing all 8 aspects is considered passing the desirable health behavior evaluation. 2. If any one question is not passed, the individual is considered to have undesirable health behaviors."
