Behavioral control refers to supervision and monitoring as a form and method of handling offenders by providing opportunities for offenders to correct themselves in the community without being detained, but by setting behavioral control conditions for offenders to follow, with behavioral control officers responsible for supervising, supporting, and assisting offenders according to the risk level of re-offending and the individual offender's problems and needs, to prevent re-offending, facilitate behavioral and personality changes, improve quality of life, and enable offenders to live peacefully with others in society.
