Results of the Census of Trade and Service Businesses
The National Statistical Office, as the lead agency for producing basic economic and social data for the country, conducts the Census of Trade and Service Businesses and the Industrial Census every 5-10 years, in accordance with United Nations recommendations, to ensure the country has continuous important basic data on trade, service businesses, and the manufacturing industry. The Census of Trade and Service Businesses has been conducted 4 times: in 2509, 2531, 2545, and 2555. The Industrial Census has been conducted 5 times: in 2507, 2540, 2550, 2555, and 2560. In 2565, it marks the 10th anniversary of the 5th Census of Trade and Service Businesses and the 5th anniversary of the 6th Industrial Census in Thailand. The National Statistical Office has therefore integrated these census projects under the name "Census of Businesses and Industry 2565". The data presented in this report are the results of business operations during the year 2564 (1 January – 31 December 2564) of trade and service business establishments with at least 1 employee, classified according to the Thailand Standard Industrial Classification 2552 (TSIC 2009), including: Wholesale Retail Accommodation Food and beverage services Information and communication Real estate activities Professional, scientific, and technical activities Administrative and support service activities Arts, entertainment, and recreation Other service activities Located throughout the Kingdom.
