Waste volume
Refuse or Solid Waste refers to solid waste, which may contain some moisture. The quantity and characteristics of waste generated from residential buildings, industrial factories, or fresh markets vary. Generally, discarded waste materials contain both organic and inorganic substances. Some of these substances can be rapidly decomposed by microorganisms, especially food scraps and vegetable waste, while others, such as plastic and glass fragments, cannot be decomposed at all.
