Forest areas

Forest area refers to areas covered by various vegetation, with trees of various sizes as important components, regardless of whether logging is conducted in the area. It can produce timber or influence the local climate or water systems. Additionally, areas that have been cut, cleared, or burned but are intended for future reforestation are also considered forest areas. However, shrubs or trees growing outside forests, trees along transportation routes, trees standing at the edges of fields or rice paddies, and trees in public parks are not included as forest areas.
